Common confusion
Sharper than yellow composite, still standard definition. Sound travels on separate red and white cables.
Going from S-Video to something else
- HDMI: S-Video to HDMI converter (needs power).
- Composite AV (RCA): S-Video to composite adapter (no power needed). Slightly softer picture than S-Video, but works on TVs with only yellow input.
